I want to get a course in investment but I see that every course out there is given by an investment company
I want to learn to invest but I am looking for a course that is independent of an investment company like eTrade or TD Ameritrade. Because I feel those guys are trying to sell their investment packages rather than give independent information about the different investment options.
Is there a place I can find it?

Should I form an LLC for my soon to be first investment property?
I have a home that is going to be converted from my primary residence to an investment property that I will rent out. I would like to know if putting this home in an LLC is the best course of action to limit my liablity. Also I will be residing in a state other than the one the soon to be investment proerty is located. Should I form the LLC in the state the property is in or the state I will be residing in? Only helpful answers please.

I’m interested in how veterans of real estate investing broke into the market. I’ve read too many books and listened to too many seminars that pin your start on deal-of-a-lifetime type purchases and shady accounting.
Do you think its worth buying, improving and selling a home in a short time? Do you think buying and renting is the better way to go? (Renting seems better if prices fall but carrying several mortgages is as scary)
What kind of financing did you use? Down Payment? (Yes/No/How Much?) How much was your initial investment if you were improving the property? Did you take out any loans to cover your improvements?
I’m in my mid 20’s. I live in the South Shore MA area. I don’t pay rent and incur about $400 monthly expenses. I have a good full time job (+50K), some saved money (+10k) and good credit. I’m very organized, fairly well educated on the subject (a lot to learn) and i have friends who are listing agents and contractors.
Any feedback/contact would be appreciated

I am 28, Chartered Accountant, working for an accounting firm. Have developed experience on buy side transaction support work and aspire to work at an investment bank or private equity. But till now have had trouble breaking into the system, since my experience is ‘viewed’ as non core. Am getting older and therefore feel that whatever changes are required to change my career’s direction, they should be taken now. Have developed a lot of skills on the job, and am at decent position within my organisation.

I already have two cars. Both are regular everyday cars. I love cars,
and wish I could buy something more collectable. Maybe a Saab
900, or something like that. But I don’t have money to waste on
additional car depreciation. I would like to buy something reasonably priced which would actually be in demand 5-10 years from now, and retain much of its value. Any suggestions? I am not interested in a pimped out car. I simply love the look of a clean
car in original condition. But again, can buying a car every be a good investment? (with the exception of course of the obvious collectables such as the 65 mustang, and so on)

I keep seeing posts for work at home, be your own boss, with no investment.
I have started several home businesses on my own. All have required some type of investment, whether it is buying books to read, attending seminars, taking a class, buying supplies, purchasing software, advertising, etc.
I don’t understand how anyone can expect to start a business,or even work from home, with no investment. Even if you have a skilled trade, such as a plumber, electrican, or hair dresser, you still have to purchase your tools or supplies. It takes $ to make $.
My profession is selling on eBay. I see complaints about eBay fees, but eBay puts you in touch with 220 million users that you couldn’t get otherwise. Try putting an ad in a newspaper that criculates to 1 million readers - it would cost you way more than eBay fees.
Everyone has to advertise to get business, and that costs money. How else will you reach potetial customers?
Small business owners want to back me up?

If you had the opportunity, would you go to a seminar to teach you what you need to do to get into breeding? Do you think the cost of a seminar would be worth the investment? Would you take the information seriously, even if it went against everything that you thought you knew?
There is going to be a Pat Trotter Seminar held locally and my club does not expect a large attendance. The fee is reasonable, ($150 for a 2 day seminar) so I don’t understand why the attendance would be low. Anyone want to give me their opinions?
