Are there introduction to investing workshops/classes/courses out there?
I have tried to do searches but none have been fruitful

If you are referring to investing in stocks, just an FYI I would be careful before paying any money to a workshop when you can learn the same stuff for free. Some may offer a free class, but then have a high pressure sales pitch to buy some kind of expensive investing software from them.

As far as websites for beginners I have listed a bunch below that are free to browse and learn what you need to get started. You should learn about mutual funds, index funds, and exchange-traded-funds (ETFs) first as a beginner since these are less riskier than “individual” stocks..

their are many courses offered but most are nothing but con games. yahoo offeres a lot of advice on their finance.yahoo.com web site. it takes a lot of studing to learn but it is well worth it in the long run. i have been investing in the stock market for 35 years and i am still learning
